Great info nicely explained, as usual! Can I ask a question on what's your take on breakfast cereals? I think I read some time ago that you're not a fan of them, but I can't quite recall what you said. Sorry Robyn I know this is a completely different topic... Definitely not a fan of breakfast cereals! Most of them are fibre-depleted, and they're all processed using high temperatures which deplete heat-sensitive nutrients, raise the glycaemic load and alter the texture and other sensory properties of the grain, making them way too easy to overeat. Think about how much porridge made from old-fashioned oats you could eat, before you started to feel full and had no desire to eat any more. Now think about you much popped, flaked or toasted cereal you would have to eat before you hit satiety, and how long you would stay full.

Thanks for your speedy reply Robyn, you've given me something to think about for sure... Regards Chris W
