Portugal is/was a Country I enjoyed visiting - superb pastries, great coffee, beer too and some truly “bucket list” meals. I think it has a demographic skewed to the elderly too, so it would be good to see the age groups affected. Otherwise probably a fair comparison with Poland and Ukraine, as it’s not a wealthy EU country.

Facts no longer matter as Orwell’s Ministry of Truth has come to pass. I even wonder whether doctor’s read these ‘august’ publications such as the NEJM anymore, and I’m surprised it actually published such a study. Did it come to the same conclusion that natural immunity is better ?

Portugal does have a higher % of people aged over 65 than Poland and Ukraine, but it also has a higher % of 0-14 year olds than either country (see http://www.geognos.com/geo/en/countries-list/world-population-age-structure-chart.html) which would pretty well cancel out the difference.

The NEJM article authors talked up the benefits of the shot, which is the only way they got their article published. Articles written by scientists with integrity are like hostage videos in the COVID-1984 era - you have to read between the lines to discern the message they want to convey.
