Such an important topic! Dr. Josef has recently been putting out lots of in-depth interviews on YouTube, which is also helping to get the word out about the terrible dangers of psychotropics. Thank you for all of your well-written and well-spoken pieces!

You are amazing and so am grateful to be one of your readers. You share such impactful material covering a broad array of health topics.

On a different note, I started reading some on the nanotechnology in dentistry and it is disturbing.

Will you be writing about nanotechnology in dentistry on your Substack? I would like to read more about that, as I've only just skimmed the surface of it.

I am diving into this area. You sparked my attention, then I read an article from a dental source sharing similar concern for the lack of long term safety we have with nano-particles. I hope to eventually share something if I can find enough material to write on this topic. Sadly, from the tiny bit of investigating that I have done, it only suggests that we just don't know what happens with these nano-particles over time. It seems some particles may be more detrimental than others...ie metals, like silver because of their ability to cross the BBB.

P.S. Are you aware of the work of John and Mike Mew?

I am not aware of them. I am very new to this journey of what my profession has gotten wrong for decades. I will look them up to see if I can find their work. My ultimate passion in the space of oral care is the airway and what we’ve done wrong as dentists to make airways smaller leading to the increase in sleep disordered breathing and the down stream effects of decreased oxygen flow when the body is supposed to be healing.

P.S. I would love to get you on for an interview about your journey. We hear from a lot of doctors who have 'woken up', but hardly any dentists. If this is of interest to you, drop me a line!

I would love to do this. I too am very disheartened by the blindness in my profession :(

You will love the Mews - they're all about airways!!!!! Check out https://www.youtube.com/@Orthotropics

I have a strong suspicion that many chronic health problems will eventually be definitively linked to standard dental practices that we're all assured are perfectly safe.

Robyn, thank you for your help and encouragement to begin slowly tapering off multiple psychotropics (one at a time) back in 2019. It’s been 2 years and 9months since my last dose. I am so grateful for your guidance with Dr Breggin’s book and emphasis to take it slooowly!!! I had no significant withdrawals going slow and if I did react, I went back to previous dose, waited and made smaller reductions. If I had a particularly difficult period of life events, I paused the taper until I felt stable. Very thankful for compounding pharmacy too which made it easier to taper. So relieved to feel human and alive again after 18 years drugged (since teens). Thank you! 😌 Yvette

Yvette, you are an absolute legend! When we first met, I was shocked at how heavily medicated you were, and how young you were when you were first put on psych meds. If you're open to it, I would love to do an interview with you about your journey to get off meds, and how your life is different now. Drop me an email if you're interested :).

Looking back it's a miracle I was able to taper myself off of Effexor when a series of events made me realize I wasn't going to be able to easily and cheaply get it anymore (plus I wanted to get off of it). I'm so glad you and others are sharing this info. If you have any suggestions on how to detox long term remnant issues (weight gain, bouts of hopelessness) I'd appreciate it! I was on a host of different ones for short periods of time.

I'm glad you were able to get yourself off that nasty drug!!!! All of these psychoactive medications cause significant disruptions in neurochemistry which can be extremely persistent. I don't think the answer lies in 'detoxing' so much as in optimising each element of your life: nutrition, exercise, sleep and circadian rhythm, spending adequate time in nature, and effective psychotherapy. For some people, optimising nutrition may also include supplementation with micronutrients and/or herbal medicines, especially those in the adaptogen category (e.g. Ashwagandha and Eleuthero) and medicinal mushrooms.

Robyn, thanks for the excellent advice and the helpful resources linked in the article. Fyi in case you're not a subscriber, A Midwestern Doctor published a few days ago his latest article in a multi-part series on the perils of psychiatric medicines. His latest article, like yours, offers guidance for stopping these dangerous ill-conceived drugs. I believe readers interested in this subject would benefit from both articles.

I just read AMD's article, and was rather disappointed that he put the most important part behind a paywall.
