Australia finally has its own version of OpenVAERS

Meet OpenDAEN.

One of the enormous frustrations for Australians - and others - who are trying to investigate injuries and deaths associated with vaccines (and injections which play them on TV) administered in this country, is that the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s (TGA’s) adverse events reporting system, the Database of Adverse Events (DAEN) is, to put it mildly, extraordinarily difficult to use.

Thankfully, just as the amazing Liz Willner developed OpenVAERS to make data from the US Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) freely accessible to the public, a talented and dedicated team of volunteers has produced OpenDAEN.

OpenDAEN is easy to navigate, and has many filters to help you refine your searches (e.g. age, date of administration, reaction type, vaccine type, batch number).

As the About page states:

“OpenDAEN (database) provides weekly updated data which has been extracted from the publicly reported cases of COVID-19 vaccine adverse reactions (injuries and deaths), listed on the Australian Government website - TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) DAEN (Database of Adverse Event Notifications) - including any published COVID-19 vaccine batch numbers (made available via TGA FOIs - Freedom of Information documents). 

Useful search engines, graphs and tables have been developed into a helpful user-friendly database to assist study, research, review and analysis of the Australian Government publicly available data.”

If you find it useful, you might like to contact your local elected representative and politely ask him or her why the Australian government has not produced a website of this quality, to share information about adverse reactions to vaccines which the public pay for, and why the task instead fell to volunteers.
